im so glad youre here!

me sitting on a couch sticking my tongue out

welcome to my page where i will probably overshare

hey guys!! my name is Gigi

I'm so happy you have stumbled across my page!  I have been learning everything I can about photography for about three years now and I can't get enough of it.

I recently decided to pursue photography as my job instead of going into corporate America and it has benefited me and my business soooo much

i have invested in all the best gear and education to give you and i peace of mind as we create some art together!!

capturing in-between moments, otherwise forgotten

I am 24 years old and i currently live in dallas, texas! I dropped out of Texas A&M University to pursue wedding and portrait photography full time. I am super excited for this next stage in my life and business. I dropped out because i found something that im really passionate about and it was so hard to continue studying something that didn't give me the same excitement!

so annnnyways - my passion is photography. i dont have that toxic hustle mentality, if i dont want a job because i think it would take away from why i do photography then i will simply… say no! i love doing this dude and so that means i do a lot to protect it. i think that photography might be one of the most important jobs in the world, and keep in mind my brother is a rocket scientist and my dad used to put fires out while flying a plane.

i went through really hard things when i was 20, and it reshaped how i view everything. nothing is worth your mental health yanno, so while photography can be super stressful its matched with even more joy, humility, and once in a lifetime opportunities. I really want to shoot your wedding. i mean don’t you want a fun, professional, but laidback presence on your big day? (unless auntie didnt listen when you said dont wear white, in that case we boxing)

bringing out true, genuine emotion has been my goal behind the camera, even if that means having to be the silly hype man.

Another reason I love photography so much is because I truly believe that pictures bring back memories. I am terrible at remembering things and a picture always reminds me of the memory: who I was with, what I was doing, and how I felt! (And those fake laughing pictures of myself I look back on just don't work for me.) When i think of what i want from photos of myself - i want my story to be told - and yeah that can sound suuuuper cheesy but its true. i want to be reminded of the smell of freshly cut grass, or how happy i was in that moment. Booking a photography session shouldn't just be about getting the best pictures, but getting a memory along with them! After all, they aren't cheap :,)

okay this is not a professionally taken photo lol. but i just wanted to share a photo that means so much to me. my mom took this of me while i was resting on a beach in thailand. now when i think of my trip here this is what comes to mind - i can remember the smell of the air and the sound of the waves hitting the longtail boats and also how at peace (for the first time in a longtime) i felt in this moment. i believe that photos have the power to bring you back to a moment you may have forgotten and to recall details that may have gotten lost. and thats why i am so passionate about photographing your irreplaceable moments…

okay back to your regularly scheduled program
